2022 was another year full of electrical innovation, new energy trends, and successful projects. As we look forward to 2023, we recap the past year while gearing up for the new year ahead.

2022 Recap

We’ve had an electrifying 2022, recapping rewiring services and the importance of a well-done wiring upgrade, the benefits of a generator and how it can protect your home and appliances, renewable energy benefits and options. We also reviewed the benefits of a smart thermostat and the installation of a surge protector for your home, the importance of electrical maintenance including tree trimming, and updating or installing carbon monoxide detectors. year.

Recap

2023 Trends

As 2023 approaches, electrical trends are almost unanimously pointing towards renewables, with critics’ current hot topic of concern being battery storage technology development. In 2023 and beyond, both short and long-duration battery storage technology will continue to be critical. With improved reliability and resilience in an age where the power supply is becoming increasingly decentralized, storage will become an indispensable part of the grid. Battery storage is closely linked to the growth in the market for electric vehicles (EV), solar power, wind power, and most other renewables in the market. Today, there are around 16.5 million EVs on the road; by 2050, this is forecast to have increased to 836 million. These short and long term storage batteries will also benefit homes who have already upgraded to solar and will likely to influence the decisions of homeowners who had been considering the upgrade,  with benefits of offsetting their home’s production with better storage without consequence of running out of power will guarantee that even old man winter won’t put a dent in your residential energy needs.
